MERRY CHRISTMAS BABY!

Dayson had a good 1st Christmas! I know he didnt know what was going on but he sure got a lot of nice things. Lots of toys!! Next year he will be more excited im sure. He got to see Santa for the 1st time and he didnt seem to care much but he keeped looking at Santa's red suit. I think he likes the color red.

On the road again!

Chris, Dayson, and I left LA on Dec 21 to go to MO for Christmas. We had a good trip i guess it was just super cold there and the drive back was a little difficult. Dayson didn't want to eat good and wanted us to stop every 2 hours to feed so it made a long ride even longer. We ended up getting a hotel room on our way back b/c we was so tired! I don't think we will be going back to Missouri again for a long time. It was nice to see family though and to let everyone see how big Dayson was getting. I got the same response from everyone "BOY HE'S A CHUNK!" Lol

Dayson's Birth

On Sept. 5 2008- my labor was induced at 4:00am. My contractions started but it wasnt too bad yet. At 8:00am they moved me to the labor room and broke my water. This made the contraction worse but i still had it under control. I felt the best when i was seating on the toilet. I know its crazy but i just wanted to stay in the bathroom. The only problem with this is my legs would go to sleep if i stayed in there for long so back to bed i went. Mom and Christy was there for support. Grandma Wood and katie stopped by for a little bit to see me. Around 11:00am Chris showed up and was there with me. By this time the contractions was pretty strong but i was still doing good. I was just laying in bed in my own little world and was just breathing through the contractions. At 4:00 pm the doc came in to check me. Its been 12 hours so far and i was just sure i was almost there but i was wrong. I was only 4 centimeters. What a disappointment!!! The doctor decided that he better get an ultrasound and see what the problem was. It showed that the baby was faced up and wasnt coming down the birth canal. The doc then decided that the best thing was to go ahead and do a C-section. I was disappointed but then again i was tired and wanted it to be over already so i was all for it. It was about 6:00pm when they came into my room to get me ready for surgery. Once i had my spinal block then Chris was able to come in to the OR to be with me. I was SO nervous and excited. Once I seen that beautiful baby boy the tears started rolling. He was so precious every emotion went through my body! All i could do was cry! Its at that moment you realize that it was all worth it. I had me a healthy baby boy. Dayson had finally arrived weighing 7 Lbs 1 oz. He was doing so well and after i got out of recovery they wheeled me by the nursery to see him again. The tears began to fall again! I couldn't wait to hold him and shortly after that i did. I had me a bundle of joy!

days before the birth

On the night of Aug. 29 2008. I was informed that Hurricane Gustav was in the Gulf of Mexico heading into our direction. Mom and i decided that the next morning we would start boarding up the house and get out of town. We was going to go to see family in Kirksville,MO.

Aug. 30 2008- We started to get things ready to evacuate. I was 35 weeks BIG and pregnant trying to get everything done. It was hot that day and i was completely miserable. I was already have some contractions and so worried i would go into labor and wouldn't be able to leave. So mom and Zack had to do a lot of the work for me. That night around 5:00pm we was in the jeep, all packed up and heading north. the plan was we would drive until we got tired and then stay a night in a hotel. The plan sounded good but it defiantly didnt work!! All the hotels was full so we kept driving. The longer i was in that car the more uncomfortable i got. i was so big that the seat belt wouldnt give me no give to move around. We had to stop a lot because i had to pee every little bit. It was terrible!! We drove all the way to St.Louis MO before there was a hotel that had a room but we decided that since we was this close to Kirksville we might as well just keep going.

Aug. 31 2008- We made it to Grandma's around noon to eat lunch and to get some sleep. We was so tired and so happy to get out of that car!!

Sept. 1 2008 - That night i spend the night with my good friend Nerenda. We had a good time talking and laughing. I was having a lot of contractions that night but i didnt really think much about it since i have been having contraction for a long time now.

Sept. 2 2008 - On Nerenda's way to work she dropped me off at Aunt Glenda's where mom was. Mom and i decided that we should start looking for a OBGYN doc. to check me out and make sure everything was ok to drive back home. We planned to head back to LA in a few days. (Once again the plan sounded good but defiantly didnt work.) As a surprise we got in to see the doc that day. Everything was looking good, no problems until they hooked me up to the baby monitor. It showed that i was having regular contraction so i was admitted to the Hospital. They gave me a pill to stop the contractions. After 3 pills later my contractions finally stopped but my feet was swelling and my blood pressure was a lil high so they wanted to run some test. A 24 hr. urine.

Sept. 3 2008 - All day i was in the Hospital doing my urine test. I was so ready to get out of there!! I was having some headaches. The doctor was a little concerned but he still released me that night. I was out of the hosp. around 7:00pm and had appointment to go back to the doc. office the next day. So that night mom and i went out to grandmas and spent the night.

Sept. 4 2008 - I was having terrible headaches all night long. i wasn't feeling to good but we got up and got into town around noon to see the doc. He was worried about my headaches and wanted me to see another doc but to do this i would have to be back in the Hosp. So back in the Hospital i went. I wasnt worried about it. i figured i would be in there for a few hours and once the other doc seen me i would get out. That didnt happen!! Once i was in the hospital my blood pressure was getting even higher, my ankles was really swollen and my head still hurt. My OBGYN decided the best thing to do was to induce labor!!! They was going to start the IV and induce me in the morning! What a scare! Chris was activated with the army and was still in LA. I was crying, so worried and just hoping the baby would be ok. Since he was still a month early. I got a hold of chris and he was on his way. My sister Christy was also on her way to be with me and all the aunts was there. Since my blood pressure was so high they wasn't able to stay long. Mom and Christy spent the night with me. I got NO sleep that night! I was up every few min to pee. I was getting frustrated and just wanted to sleep.

Sept. 5 2008 - 4 am was there before i know it. Here we go lets get ready to rummble LOL!!The nurses started the IV drip and the contractions started.
